While producing shirt designs, one thing that has been weighing in on my mind is the marketing for the business and products. While I am thinking of the teachings and tips that I’ve read and learned over the past couple of months like influencer marketing, using resources from websites like placeit.net for delicious looking mockups, and leveraging other social medias, I have also been thinking of producing a daily webcomic to bring attention to my products.

Obviously I’m a bit biased and I’m not entirely sure that a webcomic will return good results but looking around instagram especially, I regularly see a small comic strip with a plug at the end of it, usually for a website or patreon.

I don’t think its too far off from the kind of shirts and apparel I’ll be designing as I’ve made a couple of designs with small characters that are the focus for the webcomic.

So far, I’ve scripted about a weeks worth of strips as well as outlined a handful of characters to introduce. We shall see if this pays off. As of now, I’m planning on having this “campaign” (if you can call it that) run for at least three months to build traction and see if any of that converts into sales.

What do you think reader? Is this a worthwhile investment or should I focus my efforts somewhere else?
