Day 3 of 66 and we have our first super unfinished drawing! Ya can’t win them all haha. Today’s song inspiration is Sometimes by dybredly a pretty mellow tune that gave me a bit of a sci-fi vibe.

Listening to the tune, almost immediately I get the picture of a somewhat abandoned laboratory with a test subject forgotten in a tube. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried to draw this scene a couple of times in the past now, with mixed results. Maybe someday I’ll have this fully realized in a ink drawing or something like that.

Side note: I really need to get some more halftone patterns, the tool that Medibang mobile has for screentones is a bit cumbersome and doesn’t really give the results I’m looking for and the other one that comes prepackaged in the pattern library is only a basic noise pattern. I think I want to start adding some manga-ish halftone looks now, so that’s probably what I’ll end up doing later tonight. Going on a hunt and get me some new materials for this app! These look nice, might try ’em out.
