I’ve picked up drawing with ink again shaking off the rust. It makes me feel giddy about the process of working on something physical again. Digital has a way to make art-making a bit samey. At least to me, so shaking things up a bit always feels real good~

Something I’ve been trying to get started on is my ko-fi account so I can pay for the gold membership (which is a pretty reasonable price) for the ability to have a convenient pay portal for commissions all in one spot instead of having a website or facebook page and linking my paypal.me page.

I convinced one of my best pals to draw his Final Fantasy MMO character as samples for what I am able to do. Here’s hoping that through word of mouth I nab a couple of commissions here and there with everything set up.

In other not really related news, thanks to the sweltering 100 degree weather we have in southeast Texas, my old tires were just shy of blowing out on a highway. I was going to stick to my usual roots of going to the local tire business manned by one person but was dissuaded and instead convinced into going to a big box Discount Tire place for allegedly better tires.

Twas a hard pill to swallow but I forked over the $800 for the new set and will be hoping to see difference in quality of driving.

On the raspberry pi side now and although I had ordered everything I thought I needed to get started on the raspberry pi and adding pico-8 to it, I made a small mistake. I ordered a mini HDMI cable instead of a micro HDMI cable, something that was probably written somewhere but due to negligence, was overlooked by me. So I had to order yet another cable from amazon. Sigh. I would have gone out to buy the cable in person but in my experience, a simple cable that is $8-12 online is almost always $30-40 at box stores such as Best Buy.

But yeah we’ll see how it all works out, until next time!
