proper first post, and old boot polishing

Honestly it was a bit of a whim but also a small gamble to buy this hosting. The wordpress.com plan for my older blog is almost up and I looked up shared hosting and sure enough there was a 2 year sale for the ‘best value’ package.

It’s kind of funny though, the last post I talked about how I liked customization and here I am back with the same theme… just love the minimalism and style too much. But hey now I can put an emoji reaction at the bottom of my posts for people too shy to comment!

it’s actually a really neat plugin imo

but why

it really feels a bit erratic looking back on it, but at the same time, I can think of a few uses of this new setup.

for example i now have no limits to making websites boii. since I’ve paid the cash money for the hosting I might as well see what all the features i have that I’m paying for. If it comes down to it, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to try to work as a small website maker for local businesses. Good ol’ bootstrap stuff, speaking of which…

I finally bought some leather shoe polish and idk why I even doubted the stuff. I cleaned up some old boots I haven’t worn in a year. They were just sitting out there in the cold and now they are looking swell.

Anybut, back when I had shared hosting for my first ‘real’ blog I really had no clue and didn’t have much to say really. it was just figuring out how to use wordpress without really using it.

goals for this blog

with most of my (barely) posting that I’ve been doing for years now; I feel like I’ve been holding back a lot for some reason that isn’t very clear to me. With this blog I want to try stepping closer to the version that can confidently share whatever thoughts I have.

that being said, the subject matter on this website will probably be game development, visual arts and music production. I also like to dabble in other types of hobbies… It’ll be like a personal journal/diary style of trying to get to my goals (making and selling games for now) done.

in concl; to a new blog!

before i get sidetracked, i’m leaving behind my already dead blog in favor of a new more robust version. I can customize every facet of it I want so there’s no excuse there. i guess in closing, i’ve been chasing the high from having a home base like deviantart or tumblr and i’m hoping that this will be my next one because so far most social media platforms are just not cutting it.

it’s giving new resolution vibes don’t it. well, here’s to a new year! I’ve got a good feeling about this one.
