i see myself as a hobby game developer, trying to live authentically to my ideals with a mission.
basic lore
lampGuitar is a first generation immigrant, brought over to the US at toddler age and was raised with the belief that he could achieve and be anything he wanted with enough work and a sprinkle of luck.
reality however is a tad bit more complicated. bills need to be paid and if lampGuitar is to be a responsible human, compromises were made.
after the long and boring distraction that is becoming a sedentary office employee, i’m quite annoyed at where I’ve landed and if the public is expected to work till death essentially, i am desperately trying to pivot.
so what?
bruh i just want to make games and stories and get paid for it.
but ultimately…
this is a personal blog so imma have my personal goal on here without shame. i want to be able to teach and mentor people on how to make a living as a creative. and not in any scummy ways like dropshipping or hostile micro-transaction type games, but earning money through their artistic/creative expression.
to be clear, i have little idea on how to do so. So i’m not going to be pretend i already know how. so I’m walking the walk first.
at the very least if I achieve nothing, my experience can serve as a warning of what NOT to do.
